6 Great Ways to Start Your Day
There is nothing like starting the day in a great way, with enough sleep the night before, and a smile on your face. The thing is with so many of us rushing to do our thing first thing in the morning, having to fight for the bathroom, and trying to remember the paperwork that we desperately need at work for the day that we forget how to start the day off with a smile on our faces and a song in our hearts.

Leave your blinds or curtains open!
Waking up to the sun shining on your face is the best way to start your day. If you go to bed the night before and leave your blinds or curtains open, you will wake up to a nice bright beam of sunlight and the natural light given off by the sun will wake up the melatonin levels in your brain, causing your body to have a sudden rush of adrenaline and wake up bright and breezy.
Wake up a bit earlier!
Sometimes, just by setting your alarm clock fifteen minutes earlier than you need to can make the world of difference to your day. When you set your alarm a few minutes earlier, you don’t have to jump out of bed and get on with your morning routine; you actually have time to take it easy. That extra five minutes could allow you to have the time to take a few minutes to read a page or two of your book, or even watch a bit of TV with your coffee.
Stretch, stretch, stretch!
Before you even get out of bed in the morning, give yourself a REALLY big stretch! Stretch every part of your body, from your fingers to your toes and everything in between. This makes the blood flow throughout your body quickly; enabling you to wake up faster and gives you an extra special burst of oxygen to really start the day with a kick!
Sometimes all you need is a daily multivitamin to give yourself a good kick-start first thing in the morning. If you place it next to the kettle so that you remember to take it when you make your morning cup of tea or coffee, you will not only be making your body healthy from the inside out, but also can give you a vital boost of whatever it is that your body is lacking.
Turn up the music!
Remember that alarm clock that you set 15 minutes earlier? Use that extra spare bit of time that you have to listen to some upbeat music. Studies have shown that the more upbeat the music, the more your heart and mind gets pumped, and you will be ready for yet another hectic day.
Coffee it up!
You know those coffee machines that can be set to start in the morning before you even wake up – buy one! When you wake up to the smell of coffee, it instantly wakes your brain up so you will spend less time trying to figure out how to wake up in the morning, and more time actually enjoying your day. Why not give it a shot – a double shot!
