I wouldn’t just because the acid could end up drying out your skin too much.

Putting pineapple skin you cut off your pineapple in water and boiling it for a few minutes then letting it simmer to cool is a great benefit for you. Filter the pineapple water and store in the refrigerator. Great to use in vegtables, soups, stews, for a refreshing drink, and for wetting a cotton ball to use on bruises. It takes the deep purple, yellow, red, green, and black colors out of the bruise fast. Bromelain is thought to be useful in decreasing bruising by breaking down proteins that trap fluids in the tissues after an injury. I’m not sure on this benefit but it makes sense the faster the bruise goes away there’s less chance of blood clots. Makes sense to me. Use caution around eyes not to get it in the eye because pineapple is acidic.

I have been using pineapple directly on my skin for about 3 months and I can’t believe the difference! The rough texture is gone, age spots getting lighter, skin so much tighter, and pores are so tight I need hardly any serum or moisturizer. I’m 68, live in the desert and this has been the best routine I’ve ever done. I’ve started using it on the age spots on my hands and arms and it looks like it is causing them to fade. I’ve also been rubbing into my nasty cuticles and they are almost cleared up (haven’t used it long enough to tell about nail growth).

I save the skin, after spiraling out the fruit, then cut into pieces about 1.5″ x 1″ and slice the core into 1/4″ wafers, toss in a freezer bag and take out as needed. This way you get to eat the fruit and use the rest!

I love pineapple but not how my tongue feels after eating it. After reading this article, I’ll prob eat more of it. 🙂

You also mention applying pineapple directly to the skin to achieve a younger looking skin and also to keep it hydrated. I’m keen to try it but I have sensitive skin. Would it be a good idea to try it?

Thank you for your positive comment! We always appreciate our readers contributing uplifting messages to our community and for our authors. If your skin is sensitive and you want to be careful with your pineapple beauty measures, then perhaps dilute it with water or another facial scrub. This will give your face the chance to get used to it before a concentrated mixture is applied. Remain positive and enjoy, Clarissa!

I’m not sure why you say pineapple cannot cure cancer? Are you sure about your statement?

Many people have claimed to eat only pineapple and have cured their cancers.

There may be anecdotal evidence that pineapple cures cancer. However, our author was unable to find any medical evidence to support the claim. Continue to look for medical evidence, and please share it if you find it. We always appreciate the exposure of natural foods that help suppress or cure cancer. Thank you for your post.

It all depends on what you are using for, and I think there were some instructions included in the article. If you want to have the vitamins from the pineapple, eating it or juicing it would work great. Good luck, IFY!

I would use a pineapple wedge and run it in circular motions against your face and skin. This will help to exfoliate the dead skin and provide vitamin C for softer looking skin. Since pineapple juice contains some acid, it can be drying. After doing this, I would use some coconut oil like a moisturizer. Coconut oil is great because it is rich in vitamins, softens skins and has anti-microbial qualities. For an added boost, you can also eat some pineapple (but not the wedge used on your skin!) and consume the vitamins that you need. Good luck, Brianudeme!

Definitely do not use pineapple juice–the acid could end up in your eyes. If you want to make your eyes softer, you should try using coconut oil. This type of oil is high in Vitamin E and natural antioxidants. Even better, it has an anti-microbial effect and is great for softening the skin. All you have to do is use a little bit of store-bought coconut oil.
