What Does It Mean When You Dream About Your Crush?
On average every one of us dreams seven times per night. We might not even realise it, but that doesn’t make it any less true. All too often people don’t realise this and claim to never dream, not realising how statistically unlikely that actually is. Since you’re reading this, I think it’s safe to say however that you’re not one of those people. I’m going to take a shot and say that you remember your dreams quite a lot, perhaps most nights, and I’m going to take another shot and say that a lot of them feature a certain, very special, someone.
But what does it mean when your crush keeps popping up in your dreams? Why is it that he just can’t contain himself to real life, why is he flaunting himself in your dreams too? Here’s your answer…
The Why
‘The why’ in ‘why is your crush dream stalking you?’ is simple – you’re thinking about him in your waking hours and unable to forget about him when you switch off for the night. When we sleep our subconscious gets free reign and in that time it paints us pictures using the people, objects, places and scenarios we’ve been thinking of when we were awake.
There’s not much else to the why, like I said, it’s simple. You’re focussing on him while you’re awake and your subconscious is simply playing on that fact and creating a dream from it.
What It Means
Depending on your beliefs and whether or not you’re superstitious, dreams can either mean nothing or they can mean everything. They can hide clues to the future or your deepest desires or they can simply be nothing more than your mind playing a trick on you. If you don’t believe dreams hold clues to our futures or insights into our souls then I suggest you skip over this section, it may not be for you.
Here’s a few common dreams that may include your crush and what they are commonly interpreted to mean…
To dream you are kissing your crush symbolizes love, affectation and harmony. Your mind is expressing your waking desire to be close to this person and form some sort of attachment, in this case a relationship.
Don’t panic if you and your crush were arguing in a dream. This doesn’t mean you aren’t compatible as a couple. Arguing in a dream can symbolize tension and that you are trying to resolve an internal conflict. In this case, it’s likely your mind trying to tell you how frustrated it is that your crush is nothing more than a crush. It could show that your mind is ready for the two of you to become more than friends.
If you receive a love note or letter in your dream means that there could be a new relationship ahead of you. It also however symbolizes that you are insecure about something and need reassurance about your feelings or relationship. My advice in this situation is to be hopeful but beware, don’t let your insecurities get the better of you.
What To Do About It
On a whole, dreaming of your crush shows that you have an unresolved issue with him in real life, namely that he’s only your crush and not your boyfriend. You need to take action in the real world by attempting to get closer to him to see if a relationship is on the cards or not. Either way, your dreams about him are likely to grow fewer, if not stop altogether, as you start to live out your fantasy of speaking to him in everyday life. Chances are, you’ll be happier for it too. Instead of waking up feeling slightly hollow every morning seeing as your dream was only a dream, you’ll end each day feeling fulfilled that you spoke to him.

I had this dream last night that I had this girl over who I have liked for a little while now. Anyway she came over and it’s her birthday in my dream and in real life. She came over and said why don’t you just ask me out then I said because I’m scared the she said don’t be. Then I just woke up and got a message from her saying good morning. I just had a dream last night.
The guy in the dream is a long distance “date”, that we’re now in a no contact rule period, as I had to give both of us space to not scare him off further.
So, the dream was that I was in Sydney his house (not the same as real life) and the 2nd night there i found out he has a girlfriend and i was so angry and urged to leave his house. In between the time i was walking around places with many dogs happily eating, and geese in water but very bad conditioned water, and I tried to walk in that water and walked out after. Then suddenly at his place again that but forgot what we were doing.
I wonder, if these have any meanings, thanks x

When you do things like the no-contact rule, it is normal to experience insecurities and concerns. If you are not technically dating at the time, it is also entirely possible that these insecurities are based on realistic worries that he has already moved on and started dating someone else. It is one of the reasons why the no-contact rule is often a bad idea and rarely helps a relationship. All you can do right now is wait to finish out the no-contact period you agreed to with him and then reach out again. As for the dreams, they are just connected to the subconscious thoughts and feelings you have going on in your mind right now.

I know this boy for about a year and we started to get very close for the past 5 months we talk literally everyday and he sometimes said he liked me and cares about me but i dont know if he really means it in a love-way or a friendship-way. We also hang out quite some time in real life besides school for exemple going to the movies or just talk in the park for hours. When we were in the park he walked me home at +10PM or something and he asked for a kiss but i was too nervous and stupid lmao so i couldn’t, he asked it again the next day we hang out. Today i was dreaming about him and we cuddled and kissed and he said he loved me and then i wake up and surprisingly i didn’t forget the dream which is weird because i often forget my dreams. He got trust issues with girls in the past and i dont know what kind of relationship we are getting into. He is a good looking guy as well my friends rate them the prettiest one of my grade. I actually dont care if he was a good looking guy or not. My friends know i’m talking to him and they said that he just uses me because his friend used my friend for sexual intentions and thats why my friends think he uses me as well because they think that him and his friends planned to “hurt us” for some reasons. I dont know what to think about that as well. What does this all mean?

While someone’s friends are often a good representation of who they are and what they are like, this is not always the case. Even though his friend just uses people, this does not mean that he will. It sounds like he likes you and may just be moving slowly because of his past relationship issues. The dream only shows your own feelings and that you wish that you could have that kind of relationship with him–although it definitely sounds like it would be possible to have a relationship with him in real life too!

I have a crush on this guy but.. We’ve met when we were grade 4.. It was pretty cool tho.. But, until now i cant stop dreaming him almost like 84 times!! , even tho i forgot about him. You once had feelings for him, and these feelings are stored in your subconscious mind. From time to time, it only makes sense that they would reemerge. Each dream further cements these feelings within your memory bank, which is probably why they keep occurring. Since you saw him again, it probably brought those memories to the forefront of your subconscious, even if you were not consciously thinking about them anymore. As a result, you dreamed about him. You asked for his number because you wish that you could just make a move, but he was not there in the dream because you feel as if you missed out on your shot with him in your waking life.

Me and my crush, aren’t realy friends but aren’t aquantences either, we’re kinda in the middle. I hang out with a big friend group at lunch and he is usually there and sometimes we’ll have a small convo or two. He is also in my outside-of-School drama classes, and once when everyone went to get a drink (even the teacher) we had a long convo, we were both sitting in the tables facing eachother.
The dream that I had was of me and him at drama class, and we were doing a skit of me being the bride at a wedding, at the reception party, and someone had to volunteer to dance with me, and he immediately stood up, and we danced for soo long.
