What Does It Mean When You Dream About Someone You Don’t Know?
When you dream about someone you know, you have a place to start interpreting the dream. They may have appeared because you like them or because they represent a certain kind of quality that you want to have in your waking life. When you do not know the person who appears in your dream, it can be extremely disconcerting. You see them in your dreams, but you can’t tell what they mean because you have never met them in real life. There are a few reasons why you may have an unknown person appear in your dreams though.
Your subconscious creates the dreams that you have each night. Currently, neurologists believe that the neurons in your mind fire at random. The images, memories and thoughts that are released are jumbled and completely random. The story in your dreams is put together by the rest of your mind when you wake up and the mind tries to make sense of your dreams.
This is one possible reason why random people appear in your dream. You may have seen them on television or in line behind you at Starbucks. You never consciously noticed them or thought about them, but their image was imprinted into your memory. Because of this, you dreamed about them and your mind just tried to make sense of the memories later on.
Filling a Void
If the neurologists are wrong, your dreams have a subconscious meaning of some sort. If they do, then perhaps your mind is trying to fill some subconscious need, desire or fear. If the person is positive in your dream, you may want to have someone happy and supportive in your real life. If they are chasing you, you may fear that an unknown force or person is working against you. If you dream about an unknown person being your lover, it may represent a desire to have a new romance or increased passion in your life.
It is very easy to believe that the person you see in your dreams is real. It is actually possible that they could be real because you may have seen them at random in your real life. At the same time, they are not someone with a deeper meaning. They give the meaning to the dream, but they themselves mean very little. If you dream of falling in love with an unknown person, it is highly unlikely that you will ever meet them in real life. Instead, they are just someone your subconscious chose to use to represent a feeling, situation, person or something else.

Sometimes, the people who show up in your dream just represent one of your personality traits or an aspect that you want in your life. For example, you may feel like the entire world is out to get you. Nothing seems to go right. Friends and family members you once trusted have betrayed you, and you are constantly criticized at work. In this scenario, you may dream that an unknown stranger arrives to help you and protect you. This is not because that stranger is actually going to appear in your life. Instead, it is just a sign that you want someone who will help or protect you. Your subconscious was unable to choose someone else to fill the role because you do not have someone like that in your present environment.
In other cases, the dream represents an aspect that you would like to have. Perhaps you are the type of person who works 9 to 5 at a respectable, stable job. You are a dutiful spouse and parent, and you are always on top of things at home. You may dream that a fun, playful person appears in your dreams. This may happen as a representation of the qualities you want in your waking life. You want to have spontaneous experiences and fun, so your subconscious mind lets you experience things in your dreams.
There are times when a stranger appears in your dreams to make you question your waking existence once again. It can be extremely hard to analyze your own thoughts and habits. Sometimes, the only way to gain perspective is when someone else does or thinks the same things. The person in your dream may be a mirror reflection of yourself. It may be a chance for you to wake up, realize the changes that you want and go for them.

I had a dream about a man that I know by seeing, but not persaonally. In the dream, I accidentally met him and his mother and he almost automatically caught my eye. He was beautiful. I had a dream where i was waiting for someone with my sister in this giant steps/stairs. Then a guy came and it turned out that he’s my boyfriend but the feelings were different because i don’t know the guy and in the dream it’s like i knew he’s not my partner but in the dream he was. I finished working at my first job and ran over to my second job (I don’t have). I met a guy around my age (I don’t remember his name) but he had curly blonde hair and circle glasses and he was wearing the uniform. Yellow apron with a chilly on it in a circle and he gave me a hug and we were talking about work and he had his arm around me but we weren’t dating, close friends maybe because we seemed close and then I woke up.

I had a weird dream. My middle school teacher appeared in my dream and attacked me. She seemed very mad, I can’t remember what she was saying but I can remember that I was talking back at her. After that I was able to escape and when I was trying to leave school saw two men following me. I stopped to talk to a friend to feel safer and one of the men killed him. I immediately started running, lost the guy that was following me and made it somewhere. I found a lady and asked for her phone but every “phone” they gave me wasn’t an actual phone it was always weird objects. Then I saw the guy that was chasing me, hid from him and then started running. I saw some middle school friends, took o of heir bikes and started going home. Omw home a little girl started following meand before I got home I woke up.
Just a little fact is that I am in College so why did I dream of ppl in middle school? I have no idea. What did my dream mean? I have no idea

OMG!! That’s kinda funny because I recently found my middle school flash drive and it was filled with projects that teacher in particular made me do. Ever since i was a kid, whenever i feel so down or i feel so lost, this boy always appears in my dream. He does have a face but, i can’t see it clearly. I just know that it is him. Maybe because of the presence ? And whenever he appears in my dream, he always tell me that i’m his property or he will find me. Sometimes he will hug me, sometimes we are running from something or sometimes we are inside a classroom
But lately, i had a dream about him. He was angry but not throwing any tantrums. He just stand there with a grumpy face, not looking at me. I was also angry but i don’t know the reason then when i rode a tricycle (some kind of vehicle), when i look at him, he was looking at me with a sad eyes. Then i woke up. And when i woke up, my heart was so so down. It feels like i made something wrong.
Then 2days after that, he appeared again. That’s the first time that he appeared in my dream twice in a month. I don’t remember the whole scenario but, i just remembered that he told me that we are step siblings and we are also step siblings in our past life etc. We are hiding from our big brother. He held my hsnds tightly then we run inside a mansion with no lights. Then we run upstairs then we enter a room. Inside, he hold my hand then hugged me and promised me he will find me. Then i woke up.
Do you know what does my dream represent ?

I just had a dream where I was in class with some of my classmates and they were talking I was alone. then all of a sudden my pant legs go up and one specific boy from my class makes fun of them. I tell him off then I end up going home I take a shower but my hair is still dry when I get out then it starts growing a bunch I move to see whats going on then there is a lady in and behind my hair I try to grab her out and she bites my hand it doesn’t hurt so she continues then I grab her upper jaw and lower jaw and I try to pry open her mouth. I this causes her to fall out my hair and on the floor she has no hair now and has black eyes. Then, this old man comes in she falls on the floor I grab her and cradle her in my arms then this black dust flys out her mouth and goes to the old man and now he has black eyes he sets the bathroom on fire and he comes closer to me I knew he was going to attack so I run out the bathroom leaving the woman behind. Then I run to my kitchen where this old woman who I thought was my mother was making tortillas I was just calling out mom mom. Then I see in the living room my brothers and sisters on the couches. The old man with the black eyes comes out of the bathroom and is now trying to get me while the fire is getting bigger and that is where it ends my dream.

I keep having these dreams, it’s been more than2 years now i believe, once every 4 months more or less i dream about this dude, his name is nico, black hair, green eyes, and what’s even more strange is that when i first met him in a dream he wanted to be my friend and as time progressed he appeared again and again until we were lovers in the dream, i can see his face clearly everytime but i haven’t met anyone like him, idk what it is but it feels so strange, i even find myself looking for him in every guy that’s similar to his features on the street, do you have any advice for me?

I dreamt that my bf and I were at a party/get together and we were in a smokey room and he started talking down to me (it’s a really emotionally abusive relationship that I’m in the process of removing myself and my son from) so he’s talking like crap to me and then leaves the room. Unknown stranger hero starts talking to me about how I deserve better and yada yada yada and that he doesn’t care what my bf thinks, he wants me and he kisses me. I tell him to PLEASE stop before my bf sees or I’ll never get my stuff and my kid out. Scene shifts to us at this row of trailers kinda close to a river (this place is VERY familiar I have many dreams and nightmares at this location in my dreams) and I’m trying to get things together and dudes helping me and the bf comes home and they all but fight to the death and I woke up during so I didn’t find out who won. Now, typically I don’t remember the dreams let alone the person in them. I’ve dreamt of this man before just couldn’t see his face. Now I can’t forget it. I know I’ve never met him before, he’s pretty recognizable all biker-like, pony tail and such and I’m not the best at interpreting dreams because I can’t ever remember them to try haha!!😂 But this one is at a crossroads in my life and very interesting to say the least I was just wondering if you had a little more info/help for me to attempt deciphering it.

I had A dream where u was walking with an old friend of my then she says oh I have to go back we were on a side walk on a beach. Then, I run after her and she says why are you following me in an annoyed tone I act like I was going to grab something thats what I told her I had to grab something real quick and then I just ran off the sidewalk. Then immediately I am in a classroom from a school I went to we are in history and all my old classmates are there and then there was this boy who wasn’t supposed to be in our class his arm was around me and I liked it for some strange reason it felt like I liked him and then he turned to kiss me and I remembered he had a girlfriend so I yell stop and he gets up and goes mad out the door but secretly in my dream I wanted to kiss him but everyone was just watching to see what I would do I didn’t want to seem like a really bad person so I told him stop. Then all of a sudden I am in a park and this kid who U don’t know is telling me Hey the kid that wasn’t suppose to be in my history class is going to kidnap you because I didn’t accept his affection even though I wanted to then I hurry to get away from the park I find a red tricycle and hop on and start to ride it goes too slow so I get off and throw it to the grass and as soon as I do this he is running down the side walk and this other boy I know is coming to save me but in the dream (I kind of like him in the same way as the other boy who is trying to kidnap me) from him so then they are both chasing me and I am kind of freaked out and I dodge them.while one is trying to get me safe and the other is trying to kidnap me. Then I am in a bedroom and it is night And the kid who wanted to kidnap me is outside the door and he tries to come in he shoves a knife under the door but I dodge it and then it is quiet out there so then I look out into the hallway we are in my home now he is no where to be seen then I end up getting knock out I get kidnap and then my alarm wakes me up.

I had a dream where I was someone else, who had been abducted for sex trafficking, I think. She was told by the abductor that she would let whoever came into that room do things to her. I dont know how she/I got there, I had just woken up in one of the abductees bedrooms. It felt that it was someone she had met before that had abducted her. Escorted thru the house by the abductors she was looking around frantically for some semblance of where she was, when for whatever reason above the stove the numbers 479 were printed which she connected to be the address. The scene skipped to where she was being escorted through a grocery store by the captor and when she saw an officer just started screaming “479!” repeatedly before I woke up… In general my dreams have been all over the place lately – training orangutans in the “jungle” high up in like an evergreen forest’s tree, next day chased by an alligator at a raging river. It’s all weird.
