Gwyneth Paltrow Diet and Workout
Gwyneth Paltrow is one of those women that never, ever seems to be put on a pound of weight. Even when she was pregnant, she barely put on any weight at all. It doesn’t matter what she wears, or where she goes, she always looks a million dollars.
All the make-up artistry in the world can’t make you look that good if you don’t care of yourself first – your skin and body is just a blank canvas, and the more you take care of it, the better you will look. That is something increasingly evident, especially when you look at women just like this one – 42 years old and not looking a day over 25!
Born on September 27th, 1972 in California, US, she’s not just an actress these days but also a food writer, and a singer. Oh, and just in case you didn’t know, that beautiful body and face has bagged her some of the most eligible men in Hollywood, including Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck. It was only recently that she ‘consciously un-coupled’ from Coldplay front man, Chris Martin, after ten of years of marriage and two children, and even throughout all of that, she never put on an ounce of weight.
You see – Gwyneth Paltrow seems to have gotten things very right. She’s a woman that openly admits to loving food, but it’s the way she fits in exercise that makes a difference.
Gwyneth Paltrow Diet
She loves to eat but makes smart choices when picking meals. She also believes in something that actually, when you think about it, makes a lot of sense – if you eat more, you run more.
We’re not saying that you need to run a thousand miles every day. In fact, we’re not even saying that you need to run at all but it does make sense – the more you eat, the more you’ll need to work-out to burn off the calories. That’s pretty much the big secret when it comes to losing weight… There’s no magic pill or shake!
These days, the actress chooses to eat much more healthier and more organic than she did a few years ago, and starts her day with a cup of Green Tea. There’s a lot to be said for this, and even Victoria Beckham agreed that the ‘magical’ drink had something to do with keeping her weight down.
Green Tea contains masses of antioxidants to not only kick-start your metabolism, but also can help to prevent cancer, and by drinking this first thing in the morning, your body starts burning calories faster, quicker.
Later on, Gwyneth then has protein shakes created from blueberries, vitamin and mineral supplements, and almond milk, which she drinks before every workout. Protein is good when you are exercising because it helps to keep the cells in your body healthy. When they are healthy, they will work better, and this will make your exercise regime much easier to stick to.
Dinners are almost always healthy ones in Gwyneth’s house and although occasionally, she’ll let herself give in to ‘naughty’ foods, she keeps things healthy as best as she can to give her kids a great impression and relationship with good food. Plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables is key to keeping you full up, and grilled chicken, salmon, tuna, turkey, and even red meat once or twice a week is good for dinner time with the family.
Gwyneth Paltrow Workout
In order to lose weight after her children, (even though she didn’t need to) she said that visualising the body she wanted was vital for helping her to achieve her goal. Perhaps you have a photo of yourself from thinner days that you’d love to look like again? Why not pin that to the front of your fridge so every time you reach for that big piece of chocolate cake, you realise that an apple or some strawberries are a much better option….
As well as visualising, Gwyneth also chose to build up her workouts after pregnancy, starting off with smaller runs, and increasing the length and intensity over time. It’s always a good idea to learn to walk before you can run when you want to lose weight, and smaller, baby steps will mean you’ll last longer before throwing in the towel. Plus, you’ll be able to mark your progress and it will amaze you how fast you’ll see results if you really give it a try!
Adding running to small weight training sessions a couple of times per week is what gives this beautiful actress the killer, trim body that so many women lust after. She doesn’t really follow any ‘magic’ plan to lose weight – she just does what is expected – works out, tones up, eats healthy and has a good life. You could do that too if you really give it a try!
