There’s something about a good morning text message from your special someone. It doesn’t just make you smile with the words they say, but it makes your heart warm knowing they thought of you from the moment their eyes opened up. If you really want to make your boyfriend get that warm and cozy feeling on the inside, try out one of these 40 good morning texts for him.
1. Good morning, handsome!
A simple good morning greeting followed by a compliment for your man. It’s simplicity at its best, but it is definitely a subtle text that will make him grin. (Who doesn’t love waking up to a compliment first thing in the morning?)
2. Good morning, my love!
Woke up in a lovey dovey mood? Then this is the text for you. (Reserved of course for deeper relationships where the big ‘L’ word is acceptable.) He’ll love hearing this right when he wakes up!

3. Alert! The hottest man in the world has just awoken!
Yeah, it’s silly. But this text is sure to boost his ego like nothing else. This text will make him smile, perhaps even giggle a little. Plus it’ll give him that manly confidence he needs to take on the entire day.

4. You’re the first thing I think about when I wake up. Good morning <3.
It goes without saying when you text someone the second you wake up, but this just gives your guy reassurance that he’s definitely on your mind- and ONLY him, nobody else.

5. I know every day is going to be filled with joy with you by my side.
He might not say it out loud, but he will definitely say ‘Awww’ in his head the second he reads this text. It’s sweet and something that will surely brighten his morning.

6. It may be raining outside, but all I see is sunny skies thanks to you.
The perfect text when the weather is gloomy and rainy outside. This text lets him know that no matter how dark it is outside, he will always be able to brighten your day.

7. Just the thought of you brightens up my morning.
We’re not all morning people. But if your guy has the power to make you go from sleepy to bright, alert, and happy just with the simple thought of him, it’s something you need to share. He will love getting this cute news!
8. Hope you have a perfect day today.
Wishing your guy well is an easy way to show him you really care. Definitely a text message that can be used time and time again!
9. I dreamt of you all night <3.
If he’s in your dreams, he must be special. Let him know that even when the two of you are apart, he’s still the sole man on your mind.

10. I can’t wait to see you today. I’ll be counting down the minutes!
A great text when the two of you are planning to spend some time together. This lets him know that you thought not only about him right in the morning, but thought about seeing him and your totally excited!

It might sound a bit strange, but now that me and my boyfriend are living together, I actually miss all the texting and late night phone calls. Thankfully, we can still text during the daytime.

Aww, Janet! It’s true! After moving in with a guy, some of the sweet things you used to do together dwindle off. But that just means it’s time for new romantic adventures! Good luck! Thanks for commenting!

I loved #3 and #9 and I guess for the more adventurous the rest might work. I prefer subtle hints and messages and one day I might just try one of the more outrageous ones to get a laugh out of him!

Thanks for your comment! Yes, try one of the other ones when you’re feeling more adventurous. It may really surprise your significant other!

I have been reading through this section for some time now and I must say without a doubt, you have my audience. All men are like a radio, needing to be tuned right. If you tune him right you have his attention. A good morning text is one way of tuning a man on. I love point 8 which says, “Hope you have a perfect day today.” This tell your man that you are interested in what he does and you really care.

You’re absolutely right, Shelley! I love #8 too- short, sweet, and to the point, yet really shows your man that you care. Thanks for commenting!

These are great, they actually brought a early morning smile to my face. I think I’m going to add this page to my favorites and send off one of these text each morning. In fact, let me jump off here, so that I can send off number 3, the alert for the hottest man, to my hottest man.

Sending a quick text is a nice way to keep the romance going, especially if you’ve been together for a while. It’s easy to get complacent, and that’s dangerous. Hopefully a few men will stumble on this page and reciprocate. If you’re at the stage where you’re living together or married, I think a hand-written note would be even better than a text…more personal!

Anne- very true! It’s amazing how a simple good morning text message can really reignite the romance in a relationship. And you’re right, a hand written note is a lot more personal and extremely romantic, perfect for couples already living together. Thanks for your comment!

My husband and I have been married for five years, but been together for 14 in total. In the beginning, these types of messages passed between the both of us, were common, but unfortunately they have fizzled!
Thanks for the reminder, and I will take the initiative kick start this process so that there is more love and romance in the air.
Also, great lines, and I know exactly which ones will tickle his fancy!

These all are nice.. specially I loved the 18th.
When I had a boyfriend, I always send him messages every night before he goes to sleep and every morning when I wake up. Also in reply he sends me the messages. I send him “miss you” messages whenever I miss him..
Michelle Keldgord

“Miss you” messages are just as important as good morning ones! Thanks for the comment Purvi!

Wow, now I am thinking I need to be a little more creative than just my usual “You up yet?” haha. I’m sure he would laugh at some of these, but I guess that’s a good thing to make him laugh when he wakes up. A simple smiley face or heart is fun too.

Lol! Yes, there’s nothing better than waking up with a smile! You could easily add a smiley face, winking face, heart, even a sun emoji to any of these texts to make them THAT much cuter. Thanks for commenting!

My husband and I have been together for nearly two decades and have found ourselves in couples therapy for the first time. This is exactly the kind of thing our counselor has recommended…sending specific texts that aren’t the usual “Love ya” and “See ya tonight”. She said it means a lot to the other person to read something unexpected and out of the norm. I’m bookmarking this page for future reference!

I agree fully! When you are in a relationship, you get used to hearing things like “You are beautiful” or “Love you”. Over time, you just start to take these things for granted and stop really hearing them. Mixing it up with different messages or changing the phrasing can really make sure that your partner actually starts to hear you.

Haha numbers 12 and 17 are ones I would send, since we have a funny, goofy relationship like that. I think he would also love the one that mentions breakfast. Who wouldn’t?! Even though these texts are assuming you don’t live together, they can be used by anyone if you are already out the house before the other person wakes up. Good ideas! ☺

Breakfast is my favorite meal, too! If you do live together, these messages can always be written on a cute note and placed on their pillow–or on the driver’s seat of their car. I am glad you enjoyed them, Lynn!

I absolutely agree with you, a good morning text spices up the mood in such great ways. I love the first recommendation, “Good Morning handsome” I have tried this and he responded so well to me with a feeling of reassurance. I also love number 7, it makes the love bond stronger. Thanks for these great tips.

When I was dating my boyfriend I used to send him messages every night before he goes to sleep. That was one beautiful ritual that made us very happy, now that we are together we send less text messages to each other, but I will surely use some of these messages from this article because they sound very good.

Since you live together now, there are not as many opportunities to text him during the day. Instead of sending a text message, have you thought of writing an old-fashioned love letter? You could leave one of these messages on a post-it note on his pillow when you wake up. A love letter could be slipped in his wallet for future discovery or in his lunch bag. The opportunities are endless!
