It’s more realistic and healthy to be at such a weight, at least. That said, it’s still a beauty standard and is exclusive. For any lady reading and feeling inadequate, know that it’s entirely subjective. Sometimes two men can’t even agree on what “curvy” is; one man will swear a particular woman is curvy, while the other will say she’s just plain overweight.

Even then, personality needs to be considered. I’ve dated some ladies who have a body of my dreams, but I was so unhappy in a couple of them, and for those I would have taken a really skinny lady who treats me with the respect I give her instead any day.

That’s not to say this article is bad, of course. As a man who’s a fan of curves, the points explain it well!

tl;dr You’re sexy to someone, don’t sweat it.

A century ago, being as white as possible was the ideal. Although this is still the beauty standard in places like Taiwan, American women spent the early 2000s tanning. It is weird that the standard switched from rail thin models a decade ago to lovely curves now, but I am rather glad for it. The current standard seems to be a bit healthier to achieve, even if it is impossible for certain body types. Thanks for commenting!

That’s why you have celebrities such as Kim & Khloe Kardashian, Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj are all getting either injections or fat transfers to increase the size of their behind. If you’ve naturally have a curvy or big but it’s surely been there since you’re teenage and young adult days.. One does not pop up or out I should say over night.. similar to the names mentioned above. I just find it funny that Hollywood suddenly is interested in a big behind, where as men have been into this body type for years and the majority of black and Spanish women have had it naturally for years, centuries, decades… (Janet Jackson, Beyoncé and J-Lo, just to name a few naturally blessed celebrities) I just find it amazing that all of a sudden it’s a good thing among Hollywood and now especially among most of white America. Let’s give the curvy beauty credit where it’s due.
