Top 10 Zac Efron Movies
Let’s face it, since the days of High School Musical, Zac Efron has come a long way. No longer the young singing lad that we once fell in love with, he’s a total Hollywood hunt with some pretty serious roles under his belt, and some pretty big movie hits!
We’ve taken a peek at the top 10 Channing Tatum movies, and the top 10 Ryan Gosling movies. Surely it’s only fair we gave Zac Efron his own little five minutes of fame, and let you guys ogle at the beautiful chiselled body that we have sort of grown up with.
Here are the Top 10 Zac Efron movies:
1 – High School Musical
Moving on from the TV show, the movie (released in 2006) really shot the kid to super stardom and since then, he really has come such a long way. The story of the film (in case you have been living under a rock and have no idea what’s been going in the world for the past few years) is two kids – Troy (Zac Efron himself) and Gabriella that are from very different worlds, coming together to enjoy their love of music.
2 – The Lucky One
This one really set hearts fluttering all over the world and when Zac Efron came out on screen in the form of Logan opposite Taylor Schilling to restore her faith in love once more, everyone swooned both old and young alike.
He’s a Marine so spends a fair bit of time looking super hot in a military uniform and for the rest of the time, he’s looking for the girl that he believes is his good luck charm after finding her photo during a firefight attack in the war.
It’s a film that will for sure make you cry so make sure you have a pack of Kleenex handy!
3 – Neighbors
A relatively recent film, Neighbors was released just back last year in 2014 but definitely made a great impression! The comedy saw Zac filming alongside another great Hollywood legend, Seth Rogen in the film about a couple living next door to a fraternity house and the trials and tribulations that come hand in hand with that. Things get exciting and more than a tad emotional, that’s for sure!
4 – Hairspray
Back in 2007, Zac Efron played the part of Link Linkin alongside some pretty impressive Hollywood greats like John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken and Amanda Byrnes. The comedy / musical follows a ‘pleasantly plump’ kid and the big changes in their life after bagging themselves a pretty decent spot on a local TV show for dancing.
It’ll get you out of your seat!
5 – The Paperboy
With Matthew McConaughey, John Cusack and Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron isn’t the only big name in this 2012 thriller / drama. He’s not the only hottie too – you know how much we love Mr. McConaughey too!
There’s a murder, a death row inmate and a reporter that returns to his home town to investigate the lot. It’s got fear written all over it, doesn’t it?
6 – Charlie St. Cloud
The 2010 movie Charlie St. Cloud is another romantic drama but this time, set in a more fantasy setting, giving us yet another chance to see a very different side to Zac Efron.
He has been given a gift in this movie – the gift to be able to see his dead brother, but when he discovers this new magic power, something gets in his way… of course! A new love interest makes him think about things differently, and he needs to choose between two very different options. Which one will he pick…?
7 – New Year’s Eve
With a whole string of famous names, New Year’s Eve was bound to be a big hit and thankfully, the 2011 movies was just that – a massive hit!
Sarah Jessica Parker, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel, Zac Efron, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert De Niro… Shall we continue? There are literally endless great actors and actresses in this film which follows various storylines throughout the course.
Does it all have a happy ending? You’ll just need to watch and find out!
8 – 17 Again
Also starring Matthew Perry, you knew this film was going to be a funny one and when Zac Efron came on screen to show us his character, Mike O’Donnell and the chance he is given to live his life again as a 17 year old, we are sure that you will do nothing but giggle!
9 – That Awkward Moment
A relatively new Zac Efron movie for some of us (we hadn’t watched it before this!) it’s a 2014 movie that again, has a few big names in it such as Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Imogen Poots and more. Three friends must work out where their relationships are going… with disastrous and hilarious consequences! The rom-com is just another classic example of why we all love this cute Hollywood hunk!
10 – Liberal Arts
Back in 2012, Liberal Arts came out and saw Zac Efron starring alongside Elizabeth Olsen and Josh Radnor (from How I Met Your Mother) in a film following a thirty-something going back to school for his old teacher’s retirement party, and as you may have guessed, unexpected love crosses his path. It’s definitely a great one to watch if you haven’t seen it, and the comedy drama is bound to have you laughing at times too.
Consider he’s only 27 years old, Zac Efron sure has racked up an impressive portfolio of work and with Broadway, film and TV under his belt, we are eager to find out what will come next for the brown-haired, blue-eyed beauty. Believe it or not, he’s only been acting since the early part of the 2000’s which just goes to show his true talent!
